Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to support the development of power distribution and control systems within an industrial manufacturing environment. This role is hands-on and involves working closely with engineering, production, and project teams to design, implement, and support electrical solutions from concept through completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems used in power distribution and control applications
- Create and maintain electrical drawings, specifications, and bills of materials
- Support both new product development and enhancements to existing systems
- Ensure designs comply with applicable regulatory standards and internal procedures
- Provide technical support to manufacturing and operations teams
- Maintain and organize engineering documentation and design files
- Collaborate with project management from order release through final delivery
- Track progress against project timelines and support schedule adherence
- Participate in project meetings to ensure alignment and on-time execution
- Work with cross-functional teams to apply best practices in product development
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE required)
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in power systems design
- U.S. citizenship required
- Experience designing electrical control systems, including relay logic, breakers, contactors, and metering systems
- Working knowledge of PLC systems (Siemens experience strongly preferred)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical (latest version required)
- Strong understanding of electrical wiring systems and integration within structures or equipment
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to electrical system design and product development
- Experience with electromechanical system integration
