Quantity Surveyor Specialist

About The Role

- Price/forecast the cost of the different materials needed for the project.
- -
- Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation.
- -
- Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly.
- -
- Procure or agree the services of contractors and/or subcontractors who work on the construction of the project.
- -
- Handling all the costs associated with construction, interior and project work (Budget and cost control).
- -
- Negotiating and adjusting the price base for the workload to be in line with standard.
- -
- Advising managers and clients on improvements and new strategies.
- -
- Keeping track of materials and ordering more when required.
- -
- Documenting any changes in design and updating budgets.
- -
- Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
- -
- Liaise with the client and other construction professionals, such as construction managers, project managers, site architects and foremen.
- -
- Selecting and sourcing construction materials.
- -
- Handling other duties as assigned.
Qualification
- -
- Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineer or related fields.
- -
- At least 5 years’ experience in Quantity Surveyor, Estimate Engineer, Office Engineer or related.
- -
- Proficiency in MS Excel and the ability to learn how to use specialist software.
- -
- Knowledge in Construction Drawing, Building construction, and Renovation.
- -
- Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
- -
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment and pressure situation.
- -
- Excellent communication, coordination, and negotiation skills.
- -
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
- -
- Well organized, systematic thinking and management skills.
