Job Overview
Job Summary**
The Technician II QHSE is responsible for assisting in the implementation and maintenance of Primoris Services Corporation's Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental programs. This role supports field operations by ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, contributing to a safe and quality-focused work environment.
Job Responsibilities**
- Assist in conducting site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to QHSE standards.
- Support the investigation of incidents, accidents, and near misses, helping to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Participate in the development and delivery of QHSE training programs for employees.
- Help maintain and update QHSE documentation, including safety manuals, procedures, and records.
- Assist with the collection and analysis of QHSE data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with project teams and supervisors to integrate QHSE requirements into daily operations.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist in preparing and submitting required QHSE reports to management and regulatory agencies.
- Respond to and assist with emergency situations as needed.
- Stay informed about relevant QHSE regulations and industry best practices.
Job Qualifications**
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.
- 2-4 years of experience in a QHSE role, preferably within construction, utilities, or a related industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance, and quality management principles.
- Excellent observation and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of the organization.
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites as required.
- OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions.
