Financial Planning & Reporting Analyst

Job Description

  • Support monthly reporting processes within FP&A Software Business Unit.
  • Provide in-depth analytical support, including contract review for KPI reporting and forecasting.
  • Partner with Sales, the Billing team and Executive Leadership to ensure accurate revenue recognition. Identify key revenue drivers and problem areas, and provide ad hoc support as required.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify potential risks and ensure timely invoicing, revenue recognition by collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Manage, review, and analyze monthly and quarterly financial results, providing insightful commentary.
  • Perform all month-end close related responsibilities including journal entry preparation, creation and distribution of Outlook, Actuals and Flash analysis.
  • Prepare complex reports and forecasts, including monthly and quarterly projections and analyze trends (Q/Q and Y/Y) to identify potential gaps and/or opportunities.
  • Work independently on projects within defined criteria, adhering to a strict calendar of deliverables.
  • Continuously evaluate processes and identify opportunities for improvement and streamlining.
  • Maintain a positive and collaborative approach as a key member of the FP&A team.

Qualifications

  • BA in Finance, Accounting, Organizational Sciences, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, revenue operations, or business operations.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including strong proficiency in Power Query.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
