As a Trade Compliance Specialist, you will oversee and advise on global trade regulations, customs procedures, and export controls to ensure Clario’s ongoing compliance across the supply chain. This role plays a critical part in developing, implementing, and maintaining trade compliance programs throughout the product lifecycle and maintenance phases, while partnering with cross‑functional teams globally. What We Offer Competitive compensation Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage Retirement savings plan with company contribution Paid time off and company holidays What You’ll Be Doing Serve as the global point of contact for customs law, trade regulations, and export control inquiries Achieve, maintain, and manage customs company permits for all Clario logistics locations Maintain Clario’s customs status and economic operator roles across the global supply chain Initiate and lead customs‑related and trade compliance projects to ensure adherence to global regulations Monitor the effectiveness and ongoing compliance of customs and trade processes Evaluate trade rules and regulations across key Clario countries and jurisdictions Monitor and assess upcoming global trade regulations, including import/export control legislation Develop, implement, and maintain trade compliance programs, policies, and procedures Initiate and manage global changes required by revised trade compliance regulations and monitor adoption and effectiveness Provide guidance on implementing trade regulations throughout the product lifecycle and maintenance phases Collaborate with Global Strategic Sourcing to ensure trade compliance for purchased third‑party products Perform export control activities, as applicable Provide trade compliance and export regulation training to internal stakeholders Raise awareness of trade compliance and export control requirements across the organization Provide metrics and reporting related to trade compliance process performance Escalate risks, operational issues, delays, or extraordinary events to appropriate leadership Support quality assurance by ensuring compliance of products and services associated with assigned projects What We Look For 5+ years of experience in regulatory, customs, logistics, or trade compliance environments Experience with export regulations and global trade compliance requirements Experience working with ERP systems, preferably Oracle E‑Business Suite (EBS) Experience working in an international or global business environment Strong understanding of global trade regulations and customs procedures Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools Strong research, analytical, and problem‑solving skills Excellent organizational, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills Strong written and verbal communication skills in English Cultural awareness and ability to work effectively with global teams Professional, proactive, and detail‑oriented approach At Clario, a part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, our purpose is to transform lives by unlocking better evidence.
