About The Role

Uses professional administrative concepts, organizational policies, and operational practices to independently perform a full range of administrative, operational, analytical, and project support activities for the Security Services Division. Exercises sound judgment in planning, coordinating, and administering administrative operations; analyzing operational, staffing, financial, and performance information; and developing recommendations that support division operations and leadership decision-making. Coordinates multiple projects and initiatives of moderate complexity; supports and facilitates internal and external communications, collaboration, and coordination among division leadership, internal departments, external partners, and key stakeholders; and develops reports, presentations, dashboards, executive briefings, correspondence, and other management support materials. Provides administrative and consultative support to division leadership while ensuring the efficient coordination of administrative processes, operational initiatives, policy implementation, compliance activities, employee and community engagement activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related area and three (3) years of related work experience OR HS Diploma and seven years (7) equivalent experience / training.
  • Interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication, active listening, critical thinking, persuasiveness, advising and counseling skills.
  • Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality, and work onsite in San Francisco.

Preferences

  • Strong skills in short-term planning, analysis, problem-solving, and customer service.
  • Thorough knowledge of financial analysis and reporting techniques, and / or human resources policies and procedures for staff and academic employees.
  • Familiarity with law enforcement operations and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with law enforcement agencies.
  • Thorough knowledge of University rules and regulations, processes, protocols and procedures for budget, accounting and fund management, and / or personnel management.
  • Knowledge of a variety of administrative operational activities such as event planning, basic fundraising processes, risk management planning, website design, accounting and payroll, and contracts and grants regulations and guidelines.
  • Solid knowledge of common University-specific computer application programs.
  • Data Anayst Certificate.
