About The Role
Park Nicollet is looking to hire an RN Supervisor to join our Urgent Care team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.
Position Summary
Provides supervision of the daily operation of a single designated medical unit or two similar designated medical units of limited size requiring registered nursing expertise, assuring goals and objectives are obtained through the planning, implementing, and directing of programs, procedures, systems, and support personnel.
Utilizes a systematic approach to nursing practice incorporating assessment, planning, nursing diagnosis, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, recognized professional standards and Park Nicollet policy.
Remains current and familiar with a variety of multi-systems concepts, practices, and procedures, including general medical, specialty care and emergency nursing care and interventions.
Directly supervises all support staff including RNs, LPNs, Medical Assistants, EMTs and Department Assistants.
Work Schedule: Day hours M-F, occasional weekends
Required Qualifications
- Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
- Graduate from a course of study in nursing resulting in an associate degree, diploma or baccalaureate degree and at least one year related supervisory or three years related non-supervisory experience required.
- Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
- Current state Registered Nursing License required.
- BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Intermediate level computer/keyboarding skills required, including but not limited to email, word processing, spreadsheets, and calendar.
- Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and ensure safety of patients. EKG, IV skills, and EKG rhythm strip interpretation skills.
- Proven proficiency in the operation of the following: Personal Computer, Telephone, Fax Machine, Photocopier, Printer, Defibrillator, Various Health Testing Devices (specific to the area of specialty), Blood Drawing or Injection Devices, Thermometer, Blood Pressure Equipment, Cardiac Monitor, EKG Machine, Accucheck Machine. All crash cart emergency equipment.

- Proven leadership skills in organizing, planning, and directing an operation and its staff.
- The ability to exercise good judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
