About The Role
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Validate customer order scope, terms, and requirements during order entry/contract review.
- Develop detailed project plans including scope, schedule, milestones, budgets, and resources.
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, design, supply chain, production, and QC) to achieve project objectives.
- Serve as primary customer/ stakeholder contact, providing updates, managing RFIs, and addressing concerns.
- Work with the Engineering Department to compile submittal and fabrication drawing packages.
- Coordinate with Document Control to send and track drawing submittals to customers.
- Coordinate specification or schedule changes between the customer, Engineering, and Production.
- Collaborate with manufacturing planning to align project requirements with plant capacity, material availability, and manpower resources.
- Collaborate with Sales and Estimating on any changes that affect pricing; ensure timely communication of pricing updates to customers.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards (e.g., ASME RTP-1, ASTM, API, or other applicable fiberglass/composite manufacturing codes)
- Schedule and coordinate third-party QC inspections and shipping.
- Coordinate progress or milestone invoicing with the Contracts Manager, if applicable.
- Provide weekly project/order status reports to Operations Management.
- Support Engineering/Production to resolve field issues or repairs.
- Identify risks; initiate Management of Change (MOC) and develop contingency plans.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including reports, contracts, and change orders.
- Evaluate project outcomes and implement lessons learned for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with GQP-08 (Documents & Records Control), GQP-02 (Internal Audit), and GQP-03 (Corrective Action).
- Ensure preparation and archiving of regulatory, quality, and compliance documentation, including test reports, material certifications, and shipping records.
- Oversee project closeout activities, including lessons learned and customer feedback (GQP-09).
- Provide after-sales support, including coordination of warranty claims, customer training, and service needs when required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- Three to five years relevant project management experience desired
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Project Management, or related field preferred.
- PMP certification beneficial
- Strong knowledge of ERP and project management tools.
