About The Role

Software Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Murex Back Office modules (settlements, confirmations, accounting).
  • Proficiency in Murex workflows, static data setup, and trade lifecycle management.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Shell, SQL).
  • Exposure to integration with payment systems (SWIFT, CLS) and accounting interfaces.

Overall Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert for Murex Back Office implementations and support.
  • Liaise with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate into technical solutions.
  • Configure, test, and deploy enhancements in BO modules.
  • Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth settlement and accounting processes.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Front Office, Risk, Technical).

Technical Skills

  • Settlements & Confirmations : Payment workflows, SWIFT messaging, trade confirmations.
  • Accounting : General ledger integration, reconciliation, accounting rules setup.
  • Integration : MxML workflows, feed handlers, APIs.
  • Datamart & Reporting : Trade extraction, reconciliation reports, dashboards.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of hands‑on Murex Back Office consulting.
  • Prior exposure to financial institutions, preferably in capital markets.
  • Experience in end‑to‑end Murex implementation projects.

Day-to-Day Activity

  • Configure BO modules and validate settlement workflows.
  • Monitor and support daily trade settlement and accounting activities.
  • Troubleshoot BO issues and coordinate with technical teams for resolution.
  • Conduct UAT with business users and provide training/documentation.
  • Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and performance tuning.

Qualification & Soft Skills

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Team player with proactive attitude and attention to detail.
