About The Role

Made in Stoke-on-Trent. Moulded by you.

Become a Customer Service Team Member with Ocado Logistics

For generations, people in Stoke-on-Trent have built a reputation for doing things properly. We’re bringing that same spirit to our brand-new Ocado Logistics site, offering stable work, planned shifts, supportive teams and opportunities to build a long-term career.

As a Customer Service Team Member (what we call our Customer Delivery Drivers), you’ll be one of the people local customers rely on. From weekly shops and family dinners to those last-minute essentials, you’ll help keep homes across the community moving.

You’ll take to the road in one of our delivery vans, follow a pre-planned route and deliver each order with a smile. Our technology takes care of the route planning and your van will be loaded ready for you, so you can focus on driving safely, providing great service and doing the job well.

Your Stoke journey starts here

If you join us between 12th October 2026 and 2nd November 2026, you’ll complete your training and initial deliveries from one of our two already established sites, either Dordon & Nottingham.

From 9th November 2026, all training and deliveries will move to our brand-new Stoke-on-Trent site.

We know that the temporary change of location may mean additional travel, so Ocado Logistics will cover any extra travel costs during the transition. That means you can focus on learning the role, building your confidence and getting ready for your move to Stoke without being left out of pocket.

Proper work. Proper rewards.

You’ll be paid £13.66 per hour, with the opportunity to earn overtime at time and a quarter. Your breaks are paid too. You’ll also receive a range of benefits that you can shape around your life, including:

  • A company pension with matched contributions of up to 7%, available after three months with us
  • An enhanced digital health and wellbeing service, including virtual GP appointments for you and your dependants
  • Hundreds of discounts across high-street shops, restaurants and entertainment
  • Life insurance cover from your first day of employment
  • 15% off your weekly shop with Ocado.com
  • Optional benefits, including dental and travel insurance, available at discounted rates

What do we need from you?

You don’t need previous delivery experience to join us. Our training team will give you the knowledge, skills and support you need to feel confident in the role.

This is an active, physical job. Across a week, you could deliver up to a tonne of shopping, carrying orders from your van to customers’ doors - including flats and properties with stairs.

You’ll spend much of your day working independently, so it’s important that you’re reliable and take pride in providing a good service. You’ll represent Ocado Logistics while delivering shopping on behalf of our retail partners, so strong communication skills and a friendly, helpful approach are essential.

As shifts can start as early as 5:30am and finish as late as midnight, you’ll need to be able to travel to and from the Stoke site reliably at these times.

You’ll also need

  • A full UK or EU driving licence
  • At least twelve months’ driving experience
  • No more than six penalty points on your licence
  • No driving disqualifications within the past five years
  • To be aged 18 or over, as some deliveries include alcohol products
  • How to apply
  • Our application process is straightforward and there’s no CV required.
  • Complete our short online application.
  • Our recruitment team will contact you to complete an online driving licence check and Right to Work checks.
  • You’ll be invited to learn more about the role, including a site tour at your chosen training location.
  • We’ll complete a DBS check.
  • Once all the required checks have been completed, we’ll confirm your offer and help you get ready for your first day.
