About The Role

$100,000 Signing Bonus tied to 5 years of employment!

Administers anesthesia to patients of all ages in the operating room, delivery room, and provides other related services as needed in other patient care areas according to Medical Center policies and procedures. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others.

Rural Anesthesia Practice that is medically directed during the 7am-3pm shift. On call, you have the opportunity to work independently.

  • 6 OR suites in the main OR and 1 on the OB unit for C-sections
  • Salaried 8-hour day shift.
  • Call Mon-Fri. 3:30pm to 7am; weekend call is Fri, Sat, Sun. Call is approximately 1:6. We have a 20-min call back window; if you live outside this a call room is provided.
  • We provide intrathecals or epidural blocks for OB. We do approximately 225 deliveries / year. Training for blocks is available.
  • Surgical schedule includes general, ortho, GYN/OB, ophthalmology, urology, ENT, pediatric and general cases

JOB QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education/Experience

  1. Graduated from an accredited school of nursing
  2. Graduated from an accredited school of nurse anesthesia

Licensure/Credentials

  1. Current license in the state of Minnesota and Wisconsin (Wisconsin can be obtained after hire)
  2. Certified by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists or has graduated from an accredited school of nurse anesthesia and is awaiting initial certification. Must pass certification exam within 12 months of graduation.
  3. Re-certified on biannual basis by American Association of Nurse Anesthetists

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Mental Requirements

  1. Knowledge of current principles and methods of general, regional and local anesthetics
  2. Ability to function in stressful and emergent situations

Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses, quality incentives or production-based compensation
