The Financial Crime team operates as a managed services and advisory delivery team supporting financial institutions across Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), Transaction Monitoring (TM), and broader financial crime compliance initiatives.
The team works in a structured, high-volume, and quality-driven environment, collaborating with team leaders, quality control, subject matter experts, and stakeholders across local and regional engagements. Associates are developed through structured training, hands-on exposure, and progressive responsibility across different financial crime domains.

Role Summary
The Associate – Financial Crime role is designed for fresh graduates or early-career professionals who want to build a strong foundation in financial crime, compliance, and risk operations.
Associates will be trained and deployed across KYC, Transaction Monitoring, AML operations, and related financial crime workstreams depending on business needs and individual capability development. The role focuses on learning, disciplined execution, quality, and professional judgment rather than prior technical expertise .
Success in this role depends on strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, accountability, and the ability to work effectively in a structured delivery environment.
Key Responsibilities
As an Associate – Financial Crime, you will
- Support financial crime reviews and operational tasks in line with defined procedures, regulatory requirements, and client standards.
- Conduct research and analysis using internal systems and publicly available sources.
- Review, validate , and document information related to customer due diligence, transaction activity, or other financial crime workstreams.
- Accurately record findings, observations, and decisions in required tools, trackers, and templates.
- Follow defined workflows, turnaround times, productivity expectations, and quality standards.
- Participate in onboarding, training, coaching sessions, and team discussions.
- Escalate questions, risks, data gaps, or quality issues in a timely and appropriate manner .
- Work collaboratively with team members, team leaders, quality control, and stakeholders.
- Demonstrate continuous improvement through feedback, learning, and self-development.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Law, Criminology, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Fresh graduates or candidates with less than one year of experience are welcome.
- Prior exposure to AML, KYC, Transaction Monitoring, compliance, audit, risk, banking, or financial services is an advantage but not required .
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office tools.
- Willingness to be placed in Yogyakarta and work in a structured, delivery-focused environment.
