About The Role

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Interim Global Director of Ecommerce to join Hårklinikken during an important period of growth and development.

The immediate focus of the role is to ensure strong execution, commercial performance and momentum across our global ecommerce business. You will step into an existing digital setup and take responsibility for driving key initiatives forward across ecommerce, performance marketing, CRM and retention, digital customer experience and our external digital partners.

You will work across our six Shopify websites and global markets, with the US being a particularly important focus, and help ensure that our key ecommerce KPIs – including customer acquisition, conversion, AOV, retention, LTV, CAC and profitability – remain closely managed and continuously improved.

This is a role for someone who can quickly get under the skin of the business, create structure and clear priorities, and move seamlessly between performance analysis, project management and hands-on execution.

Speed is important in this role. We are looking for someone with a strong bias towards action, who is comfortable making informed decisions, moving quickly from insight to execution and maintaining a high level of quality along the way.

Primary Relationships

You will work closely with the wider Brand & Marketing team as well as senior stakeholders across the business.

You will also manage key external partners, including website development, technology, CRM and paid media agencies, ensuring strong coordination, clear priorities and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Ecommerce, Trading & Digital Growth

  • Manage the commercial performance of Hårklinikken’s global ecommerce business across six Shopify websites.
  • Monitor and optimise key ecommerce KPIs including revenue, acquisition, conversion, AOV, retention, LTV, CAC and profitability.
  • Oversee performance marketing across paid media, affiliate and other acquisition channels in close collaboration with external partners.
  • Manage and prioritise CRO initiatives across the funnel, markets and product portfolio.
  • Use data and customer insights to support commercial decision-making and prioritisation.
  • Work closely with Brand & Marketing to ensure ecommerce and performance activity is both commercially effective and consistent with the Hårklinikken brand.
  • Support and manage relationships with relevant e-tailers and digital commercial partners.

CRM, Retention & Customer Lifetime Value

  • Oversee Hårklinikken’s CRM and retention activities across markets.
  • Ensure lifecycle journeys, segmentation, loyalty, subscription and retention initiatives are being executed and optimised effectively.
  • Ensure CRM insights are actively used to inform ecommerce, marketing and customer experience initiatives.

Website, CRO & Development

  • Manage and prioritise the ecommerce development roadmap together with our third-party technology partners.
  • Ensure development projects are clearly scoped, prioritised and delivered on time.
  • Drive ongoing optimisation of website functionality, user experience and transactional performance.
  • Support implementation of new tools, functionality and integrations where relevant.

Project Management & Execution

  • Drive key ecommerce and digital projects from brief through implementation.
  • Create clear visibility across ongoing initiatives, timelines, responsibilities and deliverables.
  • Coordinate internal teams and external partners to ensure projects stay on track.
  • Provide clear and regular performance and project updates to relevant stakeholders.

Digital Customer Experience

  • Help ensure Hårklinikken’s digital customer experience reflects the premium and personalised nature of the brand.
  • Use customer feedback, web analytics, CRM data, social insights and A/B testing to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Work closely with Creative, Design, Video and Copy teams to brief and implement relevant content across paid and owned digital channels.

Agency & Partner Management

  • Act as the senior day-to-day contact for key ecommerce, development and performance marketing agencies.
  • Ensure agencies and partners have clear briefs, KPIs, priorities and deadlines.
  • Hold external partners accountable for agreed deliverables and performance.

What Success Looks Like

You quickly establish a clear overview of the ecommerce business and bring structure, momentum and strong execution across key digital initiatives.

Commercial performance is closely monitored, opportunities are identified and acted upon, and key projects move forward with clear ownership and timelines.

Internal teams and external partners are aligned around the right priorities, and you help ensure that the ecommerce business continues to perform and develop throughout the interim period.

Core Competencies & Experience

This is a challenging and exciting role that requires the experience and insight to build the right strategies and tactics within digital commerce. At the same time, you must enjoy – and take pride in – turning those strategies into action, delivering at pace and with a high level of quality.

The role requires broad experience across areas such as CRM, ecommerce trading and customer journey optimisation, media agency management, and third-party digital marketplaces.

You don’t need to tick every box to be the right fit. We’d love to hear from you if you bring solid experience within ecommerce and paid media, combined with an ambitious mindset, high learning agility and a strong can-do attitude.

  • A strong track record within ecommerce, ideally across multiple international markets.
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience managing or significantly influencing ecommerce performance and P&L.
  • Broad experience across several of the following disciplines: ecommerce, testing/CRO, paid media, customer acquisition and CRM.
  • Experience with subscription-based and omnichannel revenue models is advantageous, but not essential.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to translate data into clear priorities and actions.
  • Good understanding of key ecommerce metrics including conversion, AOV, CAC, LTV, retention and profitability.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Comfortable managing agencies, developers and external partners.
  • Hands-on knowledge of platforms such as Shopify, GA360/GA4, Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads and Klaviyo.
  • A resilient, proactive and entrepreneurial mindset with a strong bias towards action.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment where priorities can evolve quickly.
  • Experience working with premium or luxury consumers, personalised services, beauty, wellness or adjacent categories is highly relevant.
  • International experience is preferred, with specific experience in the US market considered a significant advantage.

Timing & Application

We are looking to have this interim role in place quickly, so if this sounds like you, we encourage you to reach out sooner rather than later. We will be meeting candidates on a rolling basis and will close the process as soon as we find the right person. The ability to start quickly is therefore important.
