Title : Distribution Centre Team Lead

Location : Walmart Distrubition Center 3400 39TH AVE NE, Calgary, AB on-site

Distribution Centre Team Lead position is responsible for leading and assisting a team of Distribution Centre Technical Specialists within a Customer logistics facility environment at an assigned location within Canada. This role proves team leadership for crucial labeling printing/sorting and shipping product label team, which is a critical function for daily operations of customer’s retail locations.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for the nightly mainframe production runs and label sortation,

Provide work direction to the Distribution Centre Technical Specialists located at Customer Distribution Centres in the processing of nightly mainframe production runs and label sortation
Act as escalation to resolve production issues, equipment malfunction, administrative activities, and ad hoc issues that impact the quality and continuity of service provision. Escalate further as applicable.
Oversee and ensure the timely and accurate regular offloading mainframe and production reports performed at the Customer Distribution Centre
Assigning Administrative team members daily label voids and ad hoc correctional/manual billing jobs on Mainframe.
Lead the team in providing 7/24 operations support.
Act as liaison with operations regarding general communications, staffing shift changes and changes to operational requirements.

Qualifications

Post-secondary school education; preferably College diploma or Associate/DEP degree
3+ experience in high-speed production environment
Ability to provide work direction and mentoring to medium size team
Possess excellent communication and organizational skills, along with excellent interpersonal skills.
Understanding of logistics technology required
Advanced troubleshooting and providing problem resolution processes within a Windows/Office product environment
Ability to perform continuous work with absolute autonomy
Willing to work shift hours
