Summary

To oversee and manage the daily plant operations and processes covering all shifts of operation to ensure organizational production goals are met. What You'll Do

  • Manage and direct all manufacturing operations and processes covering all shifts of operation. Direct the activities of all production operators and shipping and receiving operations through Group Leaders
  • Develop, implement and maintain standard operating procedures, practices and work instructions that cover all plant manufacturing and safety activities. Serve as an active member of the Safety Committee, the Kaizen Committee and other team activities as required.
  • Ensure that all associates supervised comply with all production and safety procedures and work instructions while being responsible for maintaining an accurate and effective training process and skills re-qualification process ensuring that all Team Members can perform all activities in a highly effective and safe manner.
  • Ensure that accurate operational, Team Member training, quality, material usage, etc. records are completed accurately and in a timely manner (i.e. charge sheets, production reporting records and log sheets).
  • Complete and/or approve Team Member time sheets, maintain vacation and personal day requests while ensuring that proper coverage for all plant scheduled activities are achieved.
  • Ensure that a proactive and constructive relationship with our customers and our suppliers is maintained and that effective and open communication processes are maintained with all internal members of the KST team.
  • Other duties and projects as may be assigned.
  • What You Need
  • At least 10 years in a manufacturing role, preferably smelter related. At 3-5 years in a management role.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
