Team Lead, VP ~ SVP, Application Support Engineer

Lead the China Middle Office Technology (MOT) team to deliver secure, resilient, and innovative technology solutions supporting Regulatory Reporting, Operations, Finance, Compliance, Risk and other Service Units. The role is accountable for technology strategy, application delivery, production stability, risk governance, stakeholder management, and talent development across the MOT portfolio. The incumbent must have strong technical hands-on experience building and delivering banking applications, sound strategic judgment to drive architecture and solution decisions, and proven capability to lead business and technology transformation initiatives.

Principal Responsibilities

• Define and execute China Middle Office Technology (MOT) roadmap aligned with business, regulatory and Group priorities.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of local Regulatory Reporting, Data and Transformation programs.
• Ensure existing MOT applications stability, resiliency, security and compliance through effective governance and risk management.
• Provide technical leadership on solution architecture, modernization, automation and uplift initiatives. Lead and develop a high-performing team while fostering accountability, innovation and continuous improvement.
• Make sound technology decisions balancing business value, risk, scalability, maintainability and cost.
• Build trusted relationships with business, operations, risk, compliance and Group Technology stakeholders.
• Drive AI-enabled engineering practices and build an AI-ready organization.

Education and Relevant Experience

• Bachelor degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or related discipline.
• 15+ years technology experience in Banking, Financial Services or FinTech.
• Minimum 10 years hands-on experience designing, building and delivering enterprise banking applications.
• Minimum 8 years leadership experience managing medium-to-large technology teams.
• Proven delivery of large-scale business, regulatory, data and technology transformation programs.
• Strong experience in architecture governance, solution evaluation and technical decision-making.
• Experience in data platforms, regulatory reporting, big data, cloud or modernization programs.
• Demonstrated application of AI/GenAI to improve productivity, delivery or operational outcomes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
