About The Role
To contribute to NOV as a Welder by performing quality spray MIG welds, following WPS requirements and fabrication prints, and maintaining a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and workmanship.
- Perform spray MIG welding according to approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
- Read and interpret weld maps, blueprints, fabrication prints, and weld symbols.
- Prepare, fit, align, and tack-weld metal components.
- Use grinders, hand tools, measuring devices, and welding equipment safely.
- Grind, clean, and finish welds according to specifications.
- Inspect personal work and take responsibility for the quality of completed welds.
- Identify and correct weld defects or notify supervision of quality concerns.
- Follow all NOV safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
- Meet production, quality, and attendance expectations.
- Work effectively with supervisors, welders, inspectors, and other team members.
- Follow NOV policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Must successfully pass the NOV 5G-position spray MIG welding test.
- Ability to read and interpret WPS documents, weld maps, blueprints, and fabrication prints.
- Knowledge of spray MIG welding processes and proper welding techniques.
- Ability to use grinders, hand tools, measuring devices, and welding equipment safely.
- Ability to inspect and take responsibility for the quality of personal work.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and wear all required PPE.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform bending, lifting, and other physical tasks.
- Strong attention to detail, dependability, teamwork, and commitment to quality.
- Demonstrates reliable attendance, arrives on time, and is prepared to begin work at the scheduled start time.
