About The Role

SUMMARY

Under the general supervision of the Clinical Director, is responsible for coordination, implementation and maintenance of the milieu treatment plans for all patients in the Pediatric Anxiety Research Center’s partial hospital programs.

Is responsible for input into the formulation of an exposure with response prevention (ERP)-based therapeutic milieu care plan. Supervises, collaborates and consults with all Exposure Coaches (I & II) in their contributions to same.

Provides services to children and adolescents.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for milieu management, i.e., coordinate milieu treatment, oversee implementation of exposure therapy and behavior management plans, monitor documentation of Exposure Coaches in medical records.
Supervise Exposure Coaches regarding job performance and achievement of expected professional development goals.
Establish goals for Exposure Coaches performance and professional growth.
Responsible for the orientation of new staff including the development of orientation materials and experiences pertaining to the exposure therapy model and the milieu.
Responsible for Exposure Coaches instruction in the techniques of crises management.
Responsible for designing and implementing in-service programs for new and existing Exposure Coaches.
Direct the placement, training and curriculum for students, interns and volunteers within the Pediatric Anxiety Research Center’s partial hospital programs.
Provide performance evaluations for the Exposure Coaches in collaboration with the Clinical Director.
Recommend and carry out hospital disciplinary policies as necessary.
Interview prospective staff members for employment.
Evaluate qualifications and recommend qualified individuals for consideration.
Participate in ongoing process of consultation with treatment team, family, outside agencies, etc.
Responsible for scheduling Exposure Coaches, i.e., vacations, personal days and earned days, etc.
Responsible for scheduling home visits for all patients.
Maintains Outlook calendar of these visits for Exposure Coach access.
Coordinates and communicates last minute changes in home visit schedule to Exposure Coaches.
Responsible for providing patients’ parents with written weekly schedule of home visits.
Coordinates and communicates last minute changes to parents as needed.
Maintain inventory for program supplies and equipment.
Recommend replacement of/or purchase as required.
Responsible for maintenance and operation of all Pediatric Anxiety Research Center’s partial hospital program’s audio-visual equipment.
Observe all hospital rules and regulations.
Perform other related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Knowledge

Bachelor’s Degree in human service or a related field.
Other education and experience considered and may be substituted for educational requirements at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.

Experience

Over three years in Milieu Therapy or a related field with demonstrated competence in utilization of childcare techniques including supervisory and administrative ability.
Over three years providing exposure-based care to children and adolescents.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Work is performed in a psychological clinic for children and adolescents.

Independent Action

Performs independently within Program policies and practices.
Refers specific complex problems to supervisor where clarification of Program policies and procedures may be required.

Supervisory Responsibility

Supervises up to 10 FTEs.

Pay Range

$23.11-$38.16
