Job Purpose

Teach undergraduate Psychology courses within the School of Arts & Sciences as part of the General Education curriculum. The position supports AIU’s mission by providing high-impact instruction and fostering the intellectual and personal growth of students through engaging, inclusive, and student-centered teaching practices.

Key Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate courses in Psychology within the General Education curriculum
Prepare and deliver course materials and assignments aligned with curriculum standards
Support student engagement and success both in and outside the classroom
Utilize learning management systems and instructional technologies effectively
Participate in periodic course assessment and program improvement activities

Required Skills and Qualifications

Strong communication and instructional skills in English (language of instruction is English)
Demonstrated excellence in teaching and student-centered pedagogy
Ability to work effectively with diverse cultural and language backgrounds
Familiarity with instructional technologies and learning management systems

Education and Experience

PhD degree in Psychology or a closely related field required
Demonstrated university-level teaching experience required
Experience working with English language learners preferred
Experience delivering courses in classroom, hybrid, or online formats desirable
