Financial Operations Analyst - GFX Corporate Action

About The Role

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Perform validation and review of corporate action information, ensuring accurate processing and timely completion of all required activities.
  • Liaise with external transfer agents (TA)/Fund Manager (FM) and other parties on corporate action matters on behalf of clients.
  • Liaise with internal teams such as Reconciliation team, Cash team, Client Representative, and any other relevant team related to ensure smooth end-to-end processing and resolution of operational issues.
  • To provide high-quality service, attend to any ad-hoc queries received from transfer agent, fund manager, clients and internal team, including appropriate investigation, follow-up and escalation when required.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, including automation and streamlining of existing activities, to improve efficiency and reduce operational risk.
  • Identify and challenge non-standard/exception-based processes, ensuring appropriate risk assessment, controls and approvals are in place before implementation.
  • Ensure all the activities are completed accurately within agreed timelines and to a high-quality standard.
  • Support other ad-hoc tasks when assigned.

Requirements

  • 1 - 3 years of industry experience related to financial services operations with understanding of investment or fund operations.
  • Fresh graduates with a background in finance, accounting or related field are also welcomed to apply.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills are essential.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong focus on accuracy, when handling financial and operational data.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Good analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve complex day-to-day issues independently.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of mutual fund operations or corporate actions is an advantage.
  • Working hours: 3.00pm – 12.00am / 4.00pm – 01.00am Malaysia
