About The Role
The Opportunity
The Operations Project Management Office (OPMO) is seeking an experienced Business Analyst. In this highly visible role, you will report to the Director of Project Management and support projects led or supported from the Operations organization. You will be responsible for coordinating, planning, and developing business analysis and requirements documentation that support large-scale business projects, as well as readiness initiatives, for implementing across the Operations organization. This role requires extensive collaboration and communication across multiple business units within Operations and outside of Operations (technology teams, suppliers, procurement).
The Team
The OPMO oversees the execution of initiatives across Operations (Protection NB & UW, Policy Holder Services / Annuity NB, Shared Services & Enablement, Strategy, Insights and Performance Optimization, and Advisor/Client Experience. We leverage standards put to drive consistency across our portfolio. The team is focused on driving and aligning critical programs and projects across our Operations organization, creating more visibility into this work, while enabling better prioritization, collaboration, and execution. We strive for continuous improvement and best in class service to our clients.

The Impact
As a Business Analyst, you will
- Define business and systems scope, objectives, and requirements by aligning user needs with applicable industry standards.
- Design and refine procedures that solve complex problems while accounting for system limitations, operating timelines, and desired outcomes.
- Analyze business and user needs, document requirements, and translate findings into clear business and system specifications.
- Coach and advise less-experienced Business Analysts to strengthen team capability and execution.
- Operate at a senior technical level across key phases of business and systems analysis, evaluating technology implications for current and future business needs.
- Drive escalation analysis and resolution for complex business and system issues.
- Communicate difficult decisions clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner to internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop recommendations through critical analysis, sound judgment, and risk-informed decision-making.
- Lead initiatives that advance business strategy and improve operational processes.
- Identify process and procedure gaps and recommend practical improvements.
- Build strong networks with internal resources, business partners, and vendor partners across the organization.
- Facilitate and organize stakeholder meetings that drive alignment, decision-making, and follow-through.
The Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 5+ years of related business analysis experience
- 2+ years of experience negotiating and influencing requirements direction.
- 2+ years of experience developing business process models, process outlines, or procedures, and job aids that prepare the business for successful execution.
- 1+ years of experience planning and managing requirement activities for medium- to large-scale projects.

- Contribute effectively to complex projects with appropriate guidance.
- Apply business analysis expertise to resolve most complex problems independently.

Salary Range
$92,800-$121,800
