We are seeking a full-time Food Service Worker to join our Nutrition & Food Service team. As a department that operates 7 days a week, shifts may begin as early as 6:00 AM and run as late as 8:30 PM.

The Food Service Worker performs a variety of duties related to food preparation, meal service, and maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment. Responsibilities may include:

  • Receiving and storing department supplies
  • Collecting menu selections by phone and in person
  • Preparing food items for retail and patient meal services
  • Delivering meals and food items throughout the campus, including patient rooms
  • Washing pots, pans, dishes, and other kitchen equipment
  • Completing routine cleaning and sanitation assignments
  • Supporting daily food service operations as needed

The starting pay rate is $18.15 per hour and includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

There are no specific education or experience requirements for appointment to this title; however, candidates must be able to speak and write English to be eligible for appointment and to perform the duties of this position.

NOTE

Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.

Preferred Qualifications

The preferred candidate will have previous customer service experience, food service experience and sanitation experience. In addition, the preferred candidate will have a stable work history and computer knowledge.
