JMA Resources is recruiting for this position in anticipation of a potential contract award. This position is contingent upon JMA Resources receiving the associated contract award and confirmation of final staffing requirements and funding.

Position Overview

The Policy Executive/Strategic Planner supports the development of cybersecurity policies, strategies, and technical documentation for our client’s programs. This role translates complex cybersecurity requirements and program information into clear, actionable products for technical teams, program stakeholders, and executive leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Policy, Strategy & Executive Communications
  • Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies, strategies, plans, and technical documentation.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, summaries, user guidance, and other written products for technical and executive audiences.
  • Translate complex cybersecurity information into clear, concise recommendations and decision-support materials.
  • Present and explain policies, strategies, findings, and recommendations to executive and program stakeholders.
  • Provide regular status updates on assigned projects, milestones, risks, and issues.
  • Cybersecurity Program Support
  • Provide consultation and guidance on systems and software to support compliance with Navy, DoD, and federal cybersecurity requirements.
  • Support cybersecurity program activities, including POA&M development and maintenance, status tracking, program reviews, metrics, and deliverable reporting.
  • Support configuration management and software reengineering efforts related to application consolidation, migration, and retirement.
  • Maintain cybersecurity program content and documentation to support current and accurate program information.
  • Reporting & Coordination
  • Track and respond to cybersecurity data calls in accordance with Government requirements.
  • Compile and analyze program information using reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and other documentation.
  • Coordinate meetings, program reviews, and cybersecurity audit activities.
  • Track program milestones, issues, and action items through completion.
  • Carry out other related duties as assigned to support evolving client, project, and company needs.

Clearance Level

  • Current or ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance is required. Note: To obtain a security clearance, you must be a U.S. citizen and meet the 13 adjudicative guidelines.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience:
  • At least 8 years of professional experience in areas such as:
  • experience presenting, explaining, and justifying security policies, strategic plans, and technical architectures to executive-level stakeholders or military/government leadership.

  • Education/Certification:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or an equivalent STEM field.
  • Skills:
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills with a proven ability to translate highly technical data into actionable business insights.
  • Ability to translate complex cybersecurity concepts into clear, audience-appropriate communications.
  • Strong presentation and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Ability to develop strategic plans, recommendations, reports, and decision-support materials.
  • Strong organization and ability to track multiple projects, milestones, risks, and deliverables.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing cybersecurity policies or strategies within Navy, Department of Defense, or other federal environments.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity program activities such as POA&Ms, compliance reporting, metrics, and program reviews.

Location & Commitments

  • Position: Full Time
  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid – On-site at our client site in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The number of days on-site will be determined by client needs after hire.
  • Travel Requirements: Possible Travel Required
  • Location Preference: Prefer candidates within a 50-mile radius of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
  • Work Hours: A typical workday consists of eight hours, totaling a forty-hour workweek. We understand that there may be times when employees will need to adjust their work hours due to client needs or personal reasons. To help balance these demands, we offer some flexibility in work schedules.
