About The Role

  • Machine Operation: Operate 3-axis vertical CNC machines to produce parts according to specifications and blueprints.
  • Setup and Programming: Set up CNC machines, including raw material preparation, loading materials, machining tool setups, inputting programs, and adjusting settings to ensure accurate production.
  • Quality Control: Inspect CNC programs and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. This will include the use of precision measuring tools.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production runs, machine settings, and maintenance activities
  • Being as specific as possible and using action words, provide bulleted list of the primary duties/tasks/responsibilities of the role.

Requirements

  • Experience: Previous experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment or technical/vocational school graduation with a manufacturing focus is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings, strong understanding in the use of hand tools and precise measuring tools, CAD/CAM familiarity and CNC machine operation and maintenance.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and quality in production.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with machinery and production processes.
  • Physical Stamina: Capability to stand for extended periods and handle physical tasks associated with machine operation
  • Strong time management and organization.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing processes
  • Forklift Certified preferred.

Work Environment or Physical Demands

  • Manufacturing floor with exposure to machinery noise and potential hazards.
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, and moving materials upwards of 60 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to handle tools and machinery.
  • Bending, stooping, and reaching to access machine components and materials.
