Role Overview & Primary Accountabilities

Business Development & Growth

  • Develop and implement account strategies to achieve sales, market share, and profitability targets.
  • Identify growth opportunities within existing customers and new business channels.
  • Drive volume, value, and category growth through effective customer development plans.
  • Monitor business performance and recommend corrective actions to close gaps against targets.

Key Account Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within assigned customers.
  • Lead annual business planning, Joint Business Plans (JBP), and commercial negotiations.
  • Manage trading terms, promotional investments, rebates, and customer profitability.
  • Ensure successful execution of customer agreements and commercial commitments.

Trade & Category Development

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Category Management, and Supply Chain teams to develop customer-specific growth plans.
  • Drive promotional planning, new product launches, and assortment optimization.

Forecasting & Performance Management

  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts and demand plans.
  • Track sales performance, customer KPIs, and budget utilization.
  • Analyze sales data and customer performance to develop actionable recommendations.
  • Provide regular business updates and performance reviews to management.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Operations teams.
  • Ensure alignment between customer requirements and internal business objectives.
  • Resolve operational issues affecting customer service levels and business performance.

Financial Management

  • Manage trade investment budgets effectively to maximize ROI.
  • Monitor customer profitability and rebate programs.
  • Ensure compliance with company financial and commercial policies.

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in FMCG sales handling major/key accounts
  • Strategic thinker with excellent skills in data analysis and time management
  • Excel and Powerpoint proficient
  • Strong demonstration of business partnering/customer service
  • With good communication skills, assertive and flexible
  • Good project management skills
  • Highly adaptable and open to learn new concepts.
  • Shows initiative and creativity
  • Conscious about quality of work
  • Can work independently and solve problems.
  • Seeks to continuously improve.
  • Seeks new trends in ways of doing.
