About The Role

As Ursinus continues to advance APEX and applied liberal arts education, we wish to extend those principles beyond graduation while supporting the College's evolving operating model. This Post-Baccalaureate APEX Fellows Program creates practical, project-based early career professional experience for recent graduates while expanding the College's capacity to execute strategic initiatives. Each Fellow will be assigned a primary area of focus that provides entry-level, real-world experience within a professional functional area, complemented by secondary work and learning experiences that broaden their understanding of higher education, institutional operations, and cross-functional collaboration.

The Annual Giving & Student Engagement Fellow will expand the Ursinus Fund’s existing Student Engagement Officer Program into a cohort-based apprenticeship model .

This fellowship will position you for careers in fundraising, development, student affairs, nonprofit leadership, higher education advancement, and project management.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Help document and implement the program’s schedule, procedures, expectations, and day-to-day workflows.
  • Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, supervising, and mentoring undergraduate student employees.
  • Coordinate student schedules, team meetings, work assignments, communications, and cohort-based activities that foster peer connection, mentorship, and a sense of belonging
  • Prepare training materials and support assignments related to annual giving, student philanthropy, and engagement initiatives.
  • Provide students with regular guidance, feedback, and mentorship, supporting their professional development and connection to the cohort.
  • Track student participation, completed activities, and program results, and gather feedback to help improve the program.

Secondary: Support other SEO Program, Ursinus Fund, engagement and Advancement initiatives as assigned to gain broader exposure to the work.
