About The Role
DescriptionSwitchboard Hiring is seeking a Commercial Loan Officer on behalf of our client, a well-established Colorado financial institution. Company name and additional details will be provided at the initial interview.This is a production-focused role where you'll originate and manage commercial relationships across the client's trade area. You'll have the autonomy to build your book of business with strong compensation tied directly to your production, supported by a collaborative team environment and streamlined internal processes. This role is ideal for a relationship-driven lender who wants to grow their earning potential with an organization that values producers. You'll be focused on commercial real estate, C&I, and construction loans, with the freedom to place business anywhere from Fort Collins to Denver to Colorado Springs based on market opportunities and your network.ResponsibilitiesOriginate new commercial loan relationships through proactive business development and networkingServe as the primary point of contact for members throughout the lending process from initial conversation through closing and ongoing relationship managementStructure and present commercial loan deals including commercial real estate, C&I lines of credit, and consumer construction loansBuild and maintain strong external partnerships and referral networks to generate deal flowRepresent Elevations Credit Union in the business community to develop market presenceWork collaboratively with underwriting, credit analysts, and loan operations to move deals efficiently through the pipelinePrepare and present loan packages for Business Loan Committee approvalStay informed on market conditions, competitor activity, and pricing trends in the Colorado commercial lending marketRequirements3+ years of commercial lending experience with demonstrated success in originating and managing commercial relationshipsProven track record of business development and loan production in a bank or credit union environmentStrong knowledge of commercial real estate lending, C&I lines of credit, and construction lendingAbility to structure deals, analyze financial statements, and understand credit riskEstablished network within the Colorado commercial lending market (Fort Collins to Denver corridor) strongly preferredSelf-starter that can develop business, source deals, and build lasting relationshipsStrong communication and relationship-building skills with business owners and internal stakeholdersBachelor's degree preferredBenefitsTotal compensation package includes base salary plus variable commission.Hybrid work schedule: 2-3 days per week in office. 4 weeks paid time off for full-time employees, work anniversary paid time off, paid volunteer time off, and 12 paid holidaysComprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans with employer contributions to supercharge your Health Savings AccountUp to a 4% match on 401(k) contributionsUp to twelve weeks of fully paid parental leave
