About The Role
Job Overview
- Installation : Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including air handlers, chillers, boilers, and rooftop units
- Maintenance : Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and replacing filters, inspecting and replacing worn or damaged parts, and checking refrigerant levels
- Repair : Diagnose and repair malfunctions, including electrical and mechanical faults
- Troubleshooting : Troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC system malfunctions
- Record keeping : Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and service calls
- Customer service : Explain maintenance procedures to customers and provide recommendations for system upgrades or replacements as well as provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly to service requests and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
- Compliance : Ensure compliance with appliance standards and OSHA
- Emergency repairs : Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently
- Growth: Stay up to date with industry developments and best practices, participating in training and professional development opportunities as needed
Essential Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and replacing filters and inspecting equipment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose system malfunctions using specialized tools and equipment
- Test and balance HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repair work
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry regulations
- Must be able to lift, move, and maneuver heavy equipment and components weighing up but not limited to 100 lbs., including lifting units and materials onto rooftops via ladders
- Must be able to travel out of state with limited notice for emergency tickets
Experience & Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in HVAC technology or related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience as an HVAC technician, with a strong background in installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial HVAC systems
- Universal EPA certification required; additional certifications (e.g., NATE, R-410A) preferred
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including design, installation, and troubleshooting
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor in a fast-paced environment, including climbing, lifting, and working at heights
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues, customers, and vendors
- Class E Drivers License

- Proficient MS Office skills including Outlook, Excel and Word
