Our solutions include Australia’s domestic debit network, real-time, data rich payments infrastructure, secure bill payments, digital identity verification, QR payments and experiences and open wallet solutions. It’s a new chapter with more possibilities.

Life at AP+

We are one team, working towards one clear purpose. We value curiosity, kindness and impact. You will be encouraged to speak up, try new ideas and learn as you go.

We care about your growth, but also about balance. There is space here for flexibility, friendships and fun, alongside meaningful work. Our values guide us every day. Lead with heart. Learn for tomorrow. Live our legacy.

The role

The purpose of this role is to support AP+’s Product function by analysing how product-related work is performed end-to-end, identifying risks, inefficiencies and opportunities, and recommending practical improvements that strengthen governance, consistency and delivery outcomes. The role partners with stakeholders to document and improve processes, embed fit-for-purpose methods and tools, and use data-driven insights to help the Product team operate more effectively and continuously improve.

What you will do

Investigate product practice situations with some complexity/ambiguity to identify problems, opportunities and root causes.

Analyse existing product practice processes end-to-end (e.g. value stream mapping) and recommend improvements to efficiency, effectiveness, quality and control.

Develop and maintain clear product framework practices and procedures documentation (e.g., maps, procedures, standards) in line with agreed practices.

Identify and assess product framework process risks and contribute to improvement recommendations and mitigation actions.

Support the adoption and effective use of product methods and tools; provide guidance to stakeholders on standards, policies and best practice.

Work closely with Product Managers and Product Owners to uplift ways of working, including discovery, prioritisation, stakeholder management and delivery practices.

Tailor product processes to meet practical team needs while ensuring alignment to established standards, governance requirements and the enterprise end-to-end framework.

Use data and stakeholder feedback to generate insights, track outcomes, and support evidence-based decisions on process changes.

Assist with implementing improvements, including change communication, training/support materials, and monitoring early effectiveness.

Contribute to building a strong product practice community through frameworks, templates and shared ways of working.

Review and continuously improve how methods/tools are applied, proposing refinements based on lessons learned and performance outcomes.

What you bring

Relevant tertiary qualification in business, commerce, finance, IT, data/analytics, operations, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

Certifications in process improvement or analysis (e.g., Lean/Six Sigma, BPMN) are advantageous.

Experience analysing and improving framework processes/procedures within product, technology or operations environments, translating findings into practical improvements.

Demonstrated stakeholder engagement experience, with the ability to build strong relationships with Product Managers, Product Owners and broader stakeholders, and support adoption of improved ways of working.

Strong analytical and systems thinking, with experience creating clear process artefacts (e.g. value stream maps) and translating complexity into practical, usable outputs.

Working knowledge of product practices (e.g. discovery approaches such as double diamond, prioritisation, delivery frameworks) and how they apply in a scaled or enterprise environment.

Practical knowledge of process analysis and improvement techniques (e.g., process mapping, root cause analysis, controls/hand-offs) and basic risk concepts.

Practical knowledge of data analysis and reporting to generate insights, define data requirements, and measure the effectiveness of process changes.

A people-focused mindset, with a genuine interest in helping others do their best work and improving how teams think and operate.
