Description

As an SEO Team Lead, you will drive the strategic direction of SEO initiatives within the Marketing team, ensuring alignment with business goals and measurable outcomes. This role plays a critical part in elevating SEO performance through data-driven insights, strong stakeholder communication, and team mentorship. You will bridge execution and strategy while developing team capabilities and delivering impactful results.

Your responsibilities include

• Lead and execute SEO strategies aligned with business priorities and growth targets
• Translate SEO data into clear, actionable insights and monthly reports
• Oversee keyword strategy, content optimization, and technical SEO initiatives
• Collaborate with stakeholders (content, product, analytics) to drive results
• Align SEO roadmap with company objectives (e.g., high-impact pages and campaigns)
• Provide guidance and support to assigned SEO team member(s)
• Ensure consistent reporting and performance tracking using analytics tools
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and SEO innovation
• Proactively resolve issues and remove blockers for the team
• Lead regular syncs and strategy discussions with cross-functional teams
• Gradually take on broader oversight of SEO efforts across technical, content, and testing initiatives, ensuring alignment and continuous improvement over time.
• Own and manage the SEO project board, ensuring all tasks are tracked, updated, and progressing according to priority
• Monitor SEO project timelines and proactively follow up on pending or stalled tasks
• Make informed decisions on SEO priorities and workflows to ensure efficient execution
• Ensure SEO initiatives move from planning to execution by coordinating tasks and maintaining workflow visibility

Requirements

• 4–6+ years of experience in SEO, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership or mentoring role
• Strong expertise in SEO strategy, technical SEO, and content optimization
• Proven ability to translate data into insights and business recommendations
• Experience with tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize work based on business impact
