ABOUT THE ROLE

Driven Lighting Group is seeking a hands-on, organized, and technically capable specialist to support Content Production and Product Development. This expanded role combines automotive product installation, new-product fitment and validation, studio and shop ownership, and management of the Marketing product library.

The ideal candidate has intermediate automotive installation experience, basic 12-volt electrical knowledge, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and precisely across a wide range of vehicles. No regular on-camera speaking is required, although installation work may be photographed or filmed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Vehicle Installation & Production Support

Install headlights, taillights, fog lights, bulbs, third brake lights, grilles, off-road lighting, wiring harnesses, brackets, and related accessories on cars, trucks, and SUVs.
Safely remove and reinstall bumpers, grilles, trim panels, lighting assemblies, and other vehicle components without causing damage.
Complete basic wiring, troubleshooting, fitment adjustments, and minor custom fabrication when required.
Prepare vehicles and products for photo and video shoots, ensuring installations are functional, clean, properly positioned, and visually production-ready.
Support studio and location shoots, including product changes, vehicle positioning, troubleshooting, rolling footage, and occasional evening or nighttime light-output demonstrations.

Product Development & Validation

Assist Product Development and R&D with installation and validation of new, prototype, and pre-production products.
Evaluate fitment, function, wiring compatibility, mounting, hardware, installation difficulty, and the overall installer experience across different vehicle applications.
Document measurements, photos, installation notes, vehicle variations, and product concerns, and provide practical feedback that can improve products and installation instructions.

Marketing Product Inventory & Logistics

Develop and maintain an organized inventory and tracking system for products assigned to Marketing and Content Production.
Track products entering and leaving the department, including their location, condition, quantity, project assignment, availability, and return status.
Coordinate product requests and orders for upcoming projects, follow up on outstanding needs, and manage the return, transfer, storage, or disposition of products after use.
Conduct regular inventory reviews and resolve missing, damaged, mislabeled, or misplaced products.

Studio, Shop & Tool Ownership

Maintain clean, safe, organized, and production-ready studio, installation, vehicle, tool, and product-storage areas.
Keep hand tools, power tools, hardware, wiring supplies, fabrication materials, and equipment organized and in working condition.
Identify missing or damaged tools and products, prepare workspaces before projects, and reset installation and filming areas after completion.
Help establish repeatable processes for vehicle intake, installation, production, teardown, product return, and workspace reset.

Cross-Functional Coordination

Work closely with Video Production, Photography, Creative, Marketing, Product Development, R&D, Product Management, Warehouse, and Operations.
Review upcoming schedules, identify product and installation needs, communicate risks or delays, and balance multiple priorities while meeting project deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS

Intermediate-level experience with automotive installation, repair, customization, accessory installation, fabrication, or related shop work.
Working knowledge of basic 12-volt automotive electrical systems, wiring, connectors, grounds, fuses, relays, and harnesses.
Experience using common automotive hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and installation equipment.
Ability to read installation instructions, wiring diagrams, fitment notes, and technical documentation.
Strong attention to detail, organization, recordkeeping, communication, and ability to work independently without constant supervision.
Valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and flexibility for occasional evening, nighttime, outdoor, or adjusted production schedules.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Automotive aftermarket, lighting, performance, restyling, fabrication, dealership, repair, or accessory-installation experience.
Installation of aftermarket lighting, grilles, wiring harnesses, mounting brackets, pod lights, or light bars.
Basic custom fabrication, prototype testing, fitment validation, automotive content production, or inventory/asset-tracking systems.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate takes pride in accurate, clean, damage-free work and naturally keeps vehicles, tools, products, and shared spaces organized. They are proactive, dependable, comfortable learning unfamiliar vehicles and products, and able to recognize the difference between an installation that simply functions and one that is ready for commercial photography or video.

PHYSICAL & SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS

Ability to stand, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and work around or underneath vehicles for extended periods.
Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, jacks, lifts, and related shop equipment, where applicable.
Ability to lift and move products, tools, equipment, and vehicle components weighing up to [insert weight] pounds.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and occasionally support evening or nighttime production with reasonable advance notice when possible.

Starting Annual Salary Range

$55,000 — $65,000 USD
