What You'll Do?

As a Field Services Associate, you will provide on-site and remote technical support for Industrial Scientific's products, software, and connected safety solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, configure, and support Industrial Scientific hardware, software, and connected safety solutions.
  • Deliver startup assistance and technical implementation support both remotely and at customer locations.
  • Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of products, systems, and accessories.
  • Manage scheduled service visits and provide recurring support to assigned customers.
  • Deliver operational and product training to customers both virtually and in person.
  • Partner with customers to resolve technical issues and ensure timely, effective solutions.
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor, helping customers maximize the value and adoption of Industrial Scientific products and services.
  • Monitor, document, and track customer issues to ensure successful resolution.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Relationship Management, and cross-functional teams to improve customer satisfaction and identify opportunities to expand customer value.
  • Share best practices, lessons learned, and product feedback to support continuous improvement across the organization.
  • Identify and communicate potential upsell or service expansion opportunities when appropriate.

What You Bring?

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in electronic technician work, field service, technical support, or a related technical role.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for electronic devices and technical systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to resolve customer issues effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a highly self-directed environment.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a passport for domestic and occasional international travel.
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, including static and dynamic IP addressing.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting gas detection products, industrial safety equipment, or related technologies.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Jira, iNet™, or similar service and customer management platforms.
  • Demonstrated success identifying additional customer needs, service opportunities, or business growth opportunities.
  • Technical certifications, training programs, or industry credentials such as:
  • TWIC
  • DISA
  • Confined Space Entry Certification
  • MSHA Certification
  • Knowledge of industrial environments including manufacturing, energy, utilities, construction, mining, or related industries.
