About The Role
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated CDL Water Truck Driver to join our team. As a CDL Water Truck Driver you will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient transportation of water to and from job site locations. Dampen jobsite with water from the truck to maintain compliance with dust control laws, compaction standards/moisture levels, and general jobsite safety.
Responsibilities
- Become familiar with the water required to reach appropriate moisture levels on a jobsite.
- Comply within the parameters of dust control laws.
- Become familiar with the needs of each project as it relates to water control.
- Maintain open communication lines with project team members.
- Promote the company site safety program to ensure a safe site in compliance with company, client and government requirements and regulations; wear seat belt at all times.
- Coordinate and assist site supervisor in any excavation/grading work required to build the project.
- Check vehicle fluids every day prior to starting the equipment; complete equipment sheets daily.
- Report repairs needing immediate attention to your supervisor.
- Be cognizant of laborers, pedestrians and the motoring public when working on street projects.
- Maintain a clean and orderly project site at all times; maintain a clean vehicle.
- Stand and reorganize barricades at the end of the shift.
- Secure vehicle at the end of the shift, lock doors, close windows and remove keys from ignition.
- Be responsive to requests for information and services from client, company and project operating entities.
- Use active listening skills and work to resolve any problems between project personnel, owners and/or subcontractors that may arise.
- Maintain a positive atmosphere and promote teamwork on the jobsite at all times.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Tanker endorsements (Class A)
- Must have a Basic 310 Dust Certification (4-hour course)
- Clean driving record with no recent accidents or violations.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a CDL Driver, preferably in the construction industry.
- Ability to read and write the English language
- Solid knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
- Ability to operate and maneuver large commercial vehicles in various weather and road conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions and instructions.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- May include some weekend and evening work, depending on current projects
- Working outdoors in AZ climate
