About The Role

Job Summary

The Manufacturing BOM & Routing Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring all data related to manufacturing planning, processes, and workflows is up to date. This role requires strong collaboration across the entire manufacturing division as well as with members from engineering and production teams. This individual will work full-time, on-site at our manufacturing facility in Pennsauken, NJ. We are seeking individuals who have strong problem solving and project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Review ECO releases for accuracy, including item class, planner, disposition, and related data.
  • Coordinate with ECO owners to determine estimated usage and initial demand timing.
  • Partner with department leads to establish routings, BOM structures, safety stock levels, order quantities, sourcing rules, and primary locators.
  • Create new raw material part numbers in collaboration with Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Engineering Data Management teams.
  • Communicate revision changes, update planning data, and coordinate rework activities as needed.
  • Maintain in-process rework orders with accurate, real-time data.
  • Update system planning and process data as requirements change, maintaining backup records when necessary.
  • Audit and adjust safety stock and fixed order quantity settings based on historical performance and project needs.
  • Review new item, ECO summary, and ECO/Work Definition Alignment reports to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
  • Perform manufacturing cost analysis and documentation using departmental input.
  • Monitor non-standard planner demand activity and coordinate resolution with cross-functional teams.
  • Support project management initiatives, including mass planning and inventory locator activities.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably in a process or quality role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, data analysis tools, and process modeling software (e.g., Visio, Minitab).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with ERP/MES systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Plex).

Salary Range

  • $72000-80000/yr, depending on experience and qualifications
