About The Role
The role focuses on supporting Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems and related engineering applications, ensuring data integrity, system reliability, and efficient operation across integrated business platforms. Responsibilities include application support, data analysis, SQL reporting, troubleshooting, documentation, process improvement, and collaboration with engineering, IT, and business stakeholders.
The analyst will work closely with design engineers, product development teams, IT professionals, and third-party vendors to resolve technical issues, improve system performance, and support engineering processes. Candidates should enjoy problem solving, working with data, learning new technologies, and supporting enterprise applications within an engineering and manufacturing environment. As experience grows, the role will progress toward ownership of engineering systems, business processes, and system improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical support for PLM systems and associated engineering applications across multiple business units and engineering disciplines.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application, system, and data-related issues while ensuring minimal disruption to engineering operations.
- Write, maintain, and execute SQL queries to support reporting, data validation, data reconciliation, and engineering business processes.
- Monitor and maintain data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across PLM and integrated enterprise systems.
- Support engineering teams in the effective use of engineering systems, business applications, and product data management processes.
- Assist in analysing engineering and product data to identify discrepancies, investigate root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors to gather requirements, support projects, and resolve technical issues.
- Support system enhancements, upgrades, testing activities, and implementation of process improvements.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of reports, dashboards, validation tools, and business intelligence outputs that support engineering operations.
- Assist with administration and routine maintenance activities for Windows Server environments supporting engineering applications.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, user guides, process documentation, test reports, release notes, and technical specifications.
- Support user training activities and assist in developing subject matter expertise within engineering and business teams.
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and support activities, proactively driving issues through resolution while communicating progress, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and engineering governance requirements.
- The successful candidate will work under guidance of Senior Analyst, who will oversee their workload and scheduling.
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Software Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
- Master's degree in information systems, Software Engineering, Engineering, or a related subject is preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience supporting business applications, enterprise systems, engineering systems, or technical software platforms, with hands-on experience using SQL for reporting, data analysis, data validation, and troubleshooting data-related issues.
- Understanding of relational database concepts, data structures, and relationships between enterprise systems.
- Exposure to enterprise platforms such as PLM, ERP, Product Data Management (PDM), Document Management, CAD, or similar engineering systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server, VB.NET, ASP.NET, Visual Studio, JSON, XML, XSLT, ODBC databases, and Web Services is advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of Windows Server environments, application hosting platforms, and system administration concepts.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to investigate and resolve technical and data-related issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, business, and IT teams.
- Demonstrates ownership by taking responsibility for issues, following through on actions, and driving tasks to completion.
- Shows curiosity and initiative by continuously learning new systems, technologies, and business processes.
- Communicates proactively, builds positive working relationships, and effectively collaborates with internal stakeholders and external partners.
