Commercial Solar Project Coordinator

About The Role

  • Support the day-to-day operations and maintenance of commercial solar and energy assets.
  • Monitor existing solar systems using performance data, alerts, equipment history, and technical documentation.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot solar system issues remotely before determining whether field service is required.
  • Identify opportunities to resolve issues through remote resets, recommissioning, communication corrections, or manufacturer support.
  • Determine when technician dispatch is necessary due to safety concerns, equipment failure, production loss, or limited remote visibility.
  • Coordinate service activities with clients, vendors, technicians, manufacturers, and internal teams.
  • Communicate technical issues, urgency, business impact, and next steps clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Help reduce unnecessary truck rolls while ensuring critical system issues are addressed promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of service issues, troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and follow-up actions.
  • Support commercial solar projects and service coordination from issue identification through resolution.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience working across multiple solar or energy monitoring portals in an operations, service, asset-management, or performance-monitoring role.
  • Experience with multiple platforms such as SolarEdge, Enphase, Fronius, and SMA, plus fleet aggregators or energy platforms such as EnSights, AlsoEnergy, or Stem.
  • Direct experience supporting commercial assets and communicating with commercial asset owners, property management groups, or similar business stakeholders.
  • Experience coordinating large-scale projects at a project-management or project-coordination level.
  • Experience using a CRM or comparable structured work-management platform. Zoho is strongly preferred.
  • Highly proficient spoken and written English, with clear, easily understood communication for frequent calls with clients, vendors, technicians, and internal team members.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain potential technical issues, urgency, business impact, and next steps at a high level to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated judgment in deciding whether an issue requires a field dispatch or can be addressed through a remote reset, recommissioning step, communications correction, or manufacturer support.
  • Hands-on experience ordering solar or electrical materials and managing manufacturer warranty and RMA processes, including documentation, replacement tracking, returns, and follow-up scheduling.
  • Strong availability during the agreed schedule, excellent attention to detail, reliable follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple active priorities.
