Accounts Payable Clerk

The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of payments to Celebration Brands Limited's local and international suppliers while maintaining the integrity of the accounts payable function by ensuring all liabilities are accurately recorded, reconciled, and reported in the appropriate accounting period.

Major Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end Accounts Payable payment cycle, ensuring timely and accurate settlement of local and international supplier obligations in accordance with agreed payment terms.
  • Prepare, review, and reconcile supplier statements, payment reports, and accounts payable records while investigating and resolving discrepancies.
  • Coordinate weekly payment processes, including supplier cheques, wire transfers, payment approvals, remittances, and distribution of payments to relevant stakeholders.
  • Process and maintain accurate financial records, including accruals, reversals, supplier master data updates, and supporting documentation for audit readiness.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to resolve payment queries, bank reconciliation items, and ensure effective communication throughout the payment process.
  • Identify and implement process improvements while ensuring compliance with company policies, financial controls, and operational requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an accounts payable or accounting function
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office ( Word, Excel, Access )
  • Knowledge of SAP would be an asset
  • ACCA Level 1 or an Associate Degree in a related discipline
