A cashier is a front-line employee responsible for processing customer payments, scanning items, and providing friendly service in retail or service environments. Key duties include operating cash registers, managing cash/card transactions, balancing the till, issuing receipts, and resolving customer complaints.

🔶 Key Responsibilities and Duties 🔶

🔶 Transaction Processing: Scanning items, processing cash, credit/debit, and check payments, and issuing receipts/change.

🔶 Customer Service: Greeting customers, answering questions, providing information on products or promotions, and assisting with inquiries.

🔶 Cash Management: Balancing the cash register/drawer at the start and end of shifts to ensure accuracy.

🔶 Returns and Exchanges: Handling returns, , refunds.

🔶 Maintenance: Maintaining a clean, organized, and stocked checkout area.
