About The Role
Guardian Home Care of AZ is seeking a compassionate and dedicated ASL-Caregiver to join our team and provide exceptional care to clients in need. As an ASL-Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals by delivering personalized support and assistance with daily living activities. This position requires a caregiver with strong proficiency in American Sign Language to effectively communicate and build meaningful connections with our clients. Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Use American Sign Language (ASL) to communicate effectively with clients who are deaf or hard-of-hearing.
- Assist clients with mobility and transferring safely to prevent falls and injuries.
- Monitor clients’ health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals or family members.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided and client progress.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks as needed.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and care plans to deliver consistent and high-quality service.
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Previous experience as a caregiver, preferably working with deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to assist with physical tasks, including lifting and transferring clients safely.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to clients’ homes within the service area.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred or willingness to obtain upon hiring.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for documenting care activities.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative care team.
- Valid TB Test
