  • Wood is recruiting for Turbine Instrument Technicians to join our team in Equatorial Guinea.
  • This is a temporary position for TAR project, working on an LNG plant, starting late September through until mid November, approximate duration 50 days.

Location: Equatorial Guinea

Rotation \ Work Pattern: Temporary assignment, starting late September until mid November, approximately duration 50 days, 7-day week \ 12-hour day

Key Responsibilities

The work will involve, among other activities

  • Disconnection and reinstatement of instrumentation for turbine enclosure removal
  • Calibration and loop checks of instrumentation systems (pressure, flow, temperature, level, and vibration devices)
  • Support to control system upgrades (Mark VIe and Fire & Gas systems)
  • Work across multiple turbine and compressor systems (lube oil, fuel gas, hydraulic systems, ventilation, fire protection, etc.)
  • The execution will be performed on six GE gas turbine-driven compressor units, in phases (TC11 units followed by TC21 units).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Completed a recognized instrumentation apprenticeship or equivalent training scheme
  • Hold a recognized instrument qualification, Degree, NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent

Job Specific Skills

  • Relevant site experience working on LNG or petro-chemical projects
  • Experience and knowledge of working on GE gas turbines

Personal Attributes

  • Competent in communicating in English language.
  • Good inter-personal and communication skills.
