Associate Provost, Institutional Effectiveness

About The Role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead development, implementation and ongoing monitoring of a system of integrated planning, assessment and evaluation (including all surveys) across the institution. Integrate data sources, analyses and reporting to develop and maintain a coherent system of institutional knowledge and information. Partner with Information Technology and other relevant departments to assure appropriate data governance, delivery, and coordination.
- Proactively utilize research, assessment, evaluation and analytical tools to inform key institutional issues, identify problems and solutions, enhance decision making and instill best practices.
- Oversee and assure accurate and timely institutional reporting to external constituencies for purposes of compliance and accreditation and develop and maintain data systems to support accurate reporting. Ensure program level assessment measures and plans align with accreditation standards.
- Work with faculty to develop and implement comprehensive curricular assessment to utilize learning outcomes data, program review and evaluation, and evaluation to meet regional and disciplinary accreditation standards
- Serve in a lead role in institutional accreditation
- Manage, mentor, train and supervise department staff.
- Serve on a variety of institutional committees and task forces.
- Represent the institution in areas of expertise and responsibility to internal and external stakeholders as requested.
Experience and Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Research-based discipline required, Doctoral/Advanced degree preferred
- 3-5 years of experience required, 5-8 years of experience preferred

- Appropriate handling of personal and confidential data is essential. Proficiency in R is required, Python is desirable.

Required Knowledge
- Professional experience with and knowledge of accreditation standards and processes, especially Middle States Commission of Higher Education or comparable agency strategic planning, and state and federal higher education regulations
- Experience with Federal Regulations for Higher Education and federal and state reporting requirements (IPEDS, the Common Data Set, National Student Clearinghouse, etc.)
- Ability to use other assessment and tracking systems as needed (watermark, anthology, etc.)
- Strong statistical and analytical skills required. Ability to perform quantitative and qualitative research.
- Ability to work with and apply statistical and mathematical concepts timely and accurately; demonstrated knowledge of assessment including research design, data collection, data analysis, and reporting; and experience working with a variety of databases; and the use of computer applications to manipulate and analyze data is required.
- Strong interpersonal and effective oral and written skills.
