The HSE Coordinator supports the HSE Manager in implementing and maintaining the company's Health & Safety Policy at the Athens confectionery and chocolate manufacturing plant. The role ensures that all production and support activities are conducted with the highest concern for health and safety, fostering a world-class safety culture and driving continuous improvement toward an accident-free workplace.
How you will contribute
You will
- Assist and lead the cultural transformation regarding HSE to help lead plant to achieve Zero accidents and Incidents
- Be responsible for coordinating and overseeing implementation of all Health & Safety programs and processes in compliance with HSE Standards as referenced in the applicable HSE Management System
- Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable Greek occupational Health and Safety legislation and all applicable EU regulations
- Conduct regular workplace inspections, hazard assessments and risk evaluations specific to confectionary manufacturing hazards
- Participate in investigations to facilitate closure of identified non-conformances
- Provide Health and Safety expertise for the plant for all new projects and change management activities
- Follow up on non-conformances and develops the systems to resolve them based on root cause analysis
- Maintain an up-to-date incident reporting system, assist with investigating incidents in conjunction with the HSE Pillar team/safety committee and drive the completion of corrective actions to eliminate root causes/reoccurrence
- Develop technical guidance programs to identify and remove physical hazards`

- Environmental Health and Safety Culture
- Environmental Health and Safety training in specialized areas
- Experience in safety, and/or environmental technical standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with individuals at all levels and globally
- Understanding and knowledge of regulatory reports and compliances including experience with ISO
- Strong knowledge of applicable Greek and EU health and safety legislation
- Understanding of food manufacturing hazards specific to confectionary and chocolate production
- Proficiency in incident investigation methodologies and root cause analysis

- Language: Fluency in Greek is a requirement
- Good command of English is required for corporate reporting and communication
- Education / Certifications: Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering
Job specific requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage employees at all levels, including production floor operators
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify risks and develop practical solutions
- Strong organizations skills with attention to detail in documentation and reporting
- Ability to deliver engaging training sessions and safety awareness campaigns in Greek language
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of PowerBI (desirable)
- Please note this position will be based in our Athens Plant.
