Position: Injection Molding Process Technician Apprentice

Location: Springfield, Tennessee

Salary Range: $22.10 per hour

Relocation: Not Available. Local Candidates Preferred

As our next Injection Molding Technician Apprentice , you'll gain hands-on experience in the setup, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of injection molding equipment used in automotive manufacturing. Through a combination of on-the-job training and classroom education with our training partner, Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) , you'll develop the technical skills needed for a successful career in advanced manufacturing.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Assist with the setup, operation, and monitoring of injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
• Learn troubleshooting techniques to identify and resolve machine, process, and quality issues under supervision.
• Perform routine inspections and quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Maintain accurate production and maintenance records.
• Support preventive maintenance activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Follow all safety policies and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED.
• Enrollment in, or willingness to enroll in, the TCAT Injection Molding Technician Program .
• Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in manufacturing processes.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Basic math, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.

Training & Career Development

This apprenticeship combines classroom instruction through TCAT with hands-on training at Johnson Electric. Apprentices will gain experience in:

• Injection molding fundamentals
• Machine setup and operation
• Safety and quality standards
• Basic troubleshooting and maintenance
• Manufacturing best practices

Successful completion of the apprenticeship program may lead to a full-time Injection Molding Technician position with opportunities for career growth within Johnson Electric.
