Position Overview

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to support the design, testing, certification, and ongoing improvement of power distribution equipment. This role combines electrical design, hands-on troubleshooting, documentation, and product support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design electrical systems at the product level, including component selection, thermal system design, mechanical packaging concepts, and interconnection hardware selection/design .
  • Apply knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, magnetics, and thermal engineering .
  • Develop engineering and technical design specifications for power protection systems .
  • Design switchboard power and control circuits .
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation, including bills of materials (BOMs) and schematics .
  • Support the qualification and integration of third-party devices into power distribution equipment.
  • Participate in hardware design reviews to evaluate product robustness and performance.
  • Contribute to customer and manufacturing documentation, test procedures, and technical reports.
  • Provide sustaining engineering support for both newly launched and legacy power protection systems.
  • Perform hands-on troubleshooting of electrical systems and subsystems.
  • Support product safety certifications with NRTL organizations and applicable UL, CSA, and IEC standards .

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) .
  • Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD drafting software .
  • Experience designing power distribution solutions such as:
  • PDU
  • STS
  • RPP
  • Switchboards

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with basic electrical engineering laboratory equipment, including:
  • Oscilloscopes
  • Network analyzers
  • Signal generators
  • Other standard EE test equipment
  • Experience with three-phase electrical systems and electrical power systems .
  • Strong technical writing, documentation, and verbal communication skills .
  • Strong laboratory, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills .
