About The Role

As LCL Operator , you own groupage shipments end to end: booking with co-loaders and consolidators, building and monitoring the file, issuing documentation, and keeping customers and overseas agents informed until delivery. You are the person who makes sure a shipment does not sit at CFS waiting for someone to notice.

Handle LCL import and export files from booking to delivery and final invoicing

Book space with co-loaders, consolidators and NVOCCs; negotiate rates and follow up on space and sailing schedules

Coordinate with CFS / warehouses on cargo receipt, stuffing, destuffing and cargo readiness

Verify volume/weight ratios, W/M calculations and revenue tons; check packing lists and cargo dimensions before booking

Issue and check House B/Ls, arrival notices, delivery orders, manifests and cargo receipts; reconcile against Master B/L

Submit and monitor customs and security filings (ENS / ICS2, AMS, ISF as applicable) within deadline

Liaise daily with overseas agents, shipping lines, customs brokers and hauliers by email and phone

Prepare quotations for LCL rates including all-in charges, THC, CFS, local and destination charges

Track shipments proactively, flag delays or exceptions early and communicate solutions to customers

Handle special cargo where relevant: DG (IMO/IMDG), out-of-gauge, temperature-sensitive

Manage the file's cost/revenue: check supplier invoices, resolve discrepancies, issue customer invoices and monitor profitability

Keep the TMS / forwarding software accurate and up to date

2+ years' experience in sea freight operations , preferably in LCL/groupage or consolidation at a freight forwarder or NVOCC

Solid understanding of Incoterms 2020, B/L types, and standard ocean freight documentation

Familiarity with customs procedures in Greece and EU import/export requirements

Fluent Greek and very good English , both written and spoken (daily contact with overseas agents)

Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel; comfortable learning forwarding/TMS software

Accuracy under time pressure, ownership of your files, and the ability to juggle multiple deadlines

Commercial awareness — you understand that every file has a margin

Team player with clear, direct communication
