Casual required to work during periods of existing staff leave at Bunbury Thrift Shop

About the role

As a Retail Assistant, this is your opportunity to support the success of our Bunbury Thrift Shop while helping generate vital funds for The Salvation Army's community programs. You'll play a key role in delivering great customer service, driving sales, and contributing to a meaningful social impact.

Reporting to the Thrift Shop Manager & Corps Officers, this is a casual position based in Bunbury, Western Australia. Additional hours may also be available through shifts at our Harvey and Busselton stores when extra team support is required.

How you will make an impact

  • Process donations, including sorting, pricing, merchandising and stock replenishment to maximise sales.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and create a welcoming shopping experience.
  • Assist with cash handling, daily reconciliations, and store administration tasks.
  • Support and work alongside volunteers to ensure smooth day-to-day store operations.
  • Maintain store presentation, cleanliness and visual merchandising standards.
  • Promote a safe and secure workplace by following health, safety and security procedures.

What you will bring

  • Relevant retail industry and/or customer service experience
  • Experience with supervising volunteers preferred
  • A national police record check is required

Conditions

Compensation is in accordance with General Retail Award Level 3
