About The Role

Test station development and qualification – 30%

  • Design and develop test kits to support the test requirement.
  • Maintain and continually improve existing test stations.
  • Manage capacity requests for production test stations.
  • Create and execute test station validation projects with a formalized report deliverable.
  • Assist R&D and Engineeringteam for experiments and electrical analysis.
  • PR&PO preparation for new equipment and jig.

Teststation maintenance and improvement – 40%

  • Work with product teams to debug and analyses test failures.
  • Monitoring and analysis product yield on final test station.
  • Test FMEA regular review and update.
  • Drive on-going cost-reduction capacity ramp up activities.
  • Improve test efficiency by optimizing the hardware and software configuration, layout etc.
  • Annual GRR and calibration for test station.
  • Verification and maintenance for final test and burn in rack.

Operations Support – 20%

  • Teamwork with product engineers and quality engineers to resolve quality issues.
  • Work with Operations on capacity expansion capital business case to support volume forecast.
  • Daily, weekly and monthly SPC monitoring and analysis.
  • Test instrument correlation with other stations for power measurement.
  • Trouble shooting on production test related and burn in stations.
  • Work instruction edits and training to production.
  • Engineering change management related to test and burn in process with ECO or waiver.

Trainingand documentation – 10%

  • Training for technicians and operators to improve their skill.
  • Support new projects from engineering as required.
  • Complete the outcome documents such as feasibility and execution report for R&D projects include new products, new equipment, new processes etc.
  • Intellectual property applications.
  • Other added responsibility as assigned by supervisor.

Education & Experience

  • Master’s degree in Electronics, Mechanical engineering, Automation or equivalent technical discipline from an accredited college or university .
  • Min. 5 years working experience in complex manufacturing environment (Electronics or laser test experience is preferred).
  • Fiber Bragg Grating or pump laser manufacturing experience are preferred.

Skills & Other Requirements

  • Familiarity with the operation of test instrument such as laser source, multi-meters, OSA, power meter, oscilloscope, etc.
  • Good understanding and hands on experience of test methodologies applied to opto-electronics component.
  • Excellent electronics knowledge and experience on electrical analysis.
  • Good understanding of SPC, Gauge R&R, and DOE, FMEA, hands-on experience of trouble shooting for test kits.
  • Ability to easily and successfully work with employees and customers in a multi-cultural, global team environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and complex issues involving external and internal priorities
  • Excellence communication (verbal and written) skill in English is essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

Working Conditions

Working conditions typical of a climate controlled and professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets, etc.

  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in a complex manufacturing environment, preferably with electronics or laser test experience.
  • Familiarity with fiber Bragg grating or pump laser manufacturing is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with test instruments and opto-electronics component testing methodologies.
  • Excellent electronics knowledge and expertise in electrical analysis.
  • Strong understanding of SPC, Gauge R&R, DOE, and FMEA, with practical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, global team environment, handling multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential.
  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to present ideas and findings effectively.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
