Lathe Operator

Purpose of Function

This function sets up and operates the CNC Lathes and run parts according to engineering drawings. The function is also responsible for certification

Main Tasks/Responsibilities/Authorities

Main Tasks

• Review production orders to verify correct specifications
• Set up lathe and operate per specifications
• Maintain all logs

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Alert Manager of any repair needs of other areas of concern with regard to the facility
• Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment
• Assist in manufacturing processes as directed
• Assist in engineering processes as directed
• Perform a variety of tasks to support the day to day operations of the business

Requirements

• Function Requirements: (education, experience, competences, etc)
• The Lathe technician should have a high school degree or equivalent. Prior experience in a manufacturing technician role, following work instructions and using a lathe is required.
