About The Role
The Medical Canvass Investigator conducts desktop-based investigations to identify treatment locations for individuals under investigation and reports findings promptly and accurately. Candidates should have strong information-gathering skills, intellectual curiosity, and a diligent work ethic.
Essential job functions include, but are not limited to
- Researching and conducting outbound calls to medical providers
- Reviewing assignments to determine additional case objectives and client expectations
- Communicating with clients and managers regarding assignments
- Preparing detailed and accurate investigation reports and submitting findings promptly
- Identifying any red flags or inconsistencies and making solid recommendations for further investigation
- Balancing and tracking caseloads and inputting case-related time
- Completing continual training related to HIPAA, permissible purpose, insurance investigations, and internal policies/procedures
- Maintaining strict confidentiality and adhering to legal/ethical guidelines
- Attending and testifying at hearings as needed

Requirements
Medical Canvass Investigator candidates must have
- An investigative or inquisitive mindset and curiosity
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Ability to communicate ideas effectively and professionally
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and as a team player
- Attention and commitment to accuracy and detail
- Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to model behaviors that reflect Frasco’s core values
- A private investigator license if required by your residential state
Preferred Qualifications/Experience
- Previous experience with outbound calls or medical call offices
- Previous investigative experience
- Bi-lingual a plus
- Associate or bachelor's degree in criminal justice or related field
- Quality control or report writing experience
- Social media or OSINT experience is a plus
