Our Management Consulting offering
The Advisory department works with energy industry stakeholders on challenges relating to strategy, market fundamentals and value chain development within oil and gas, power, and renewable energy to help them make higher quality decisions based on unique insights. Our engagements span a broad set of topics and client types from commercial due diligence / transaction support for investors, to market assessment support for cleantech start-ups, corporate strategy development for major energy companies, and policy design for governmental bodies.
We are seeking graduates for junior consultant positions in our Sydney office to support our growing business in Australia.
Key Responsibilities: You will work on challenging assignments requiring rigorous analysis to drive insights and conclusions. As a member of project teams, you will engage closely with clients and learn and deploy knowledge quickly. You will work collaboratively on project teams, supporting clients across upstream, midstream, and downstream oil and gas sectors, as well as energy transition areas such as renewables, hydrogen, and carbon capture.
Your responsibilities will include structuring and breaking down ambiguous problems, performing quantitative analysis, producing reports, and delivering recommendations, working as required to deliver results within short timeframes. You will work primarily at the Rystad Energy office in Sydney but may travel to client sites as required.
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree, graduated by December 2026
Strong academic track record in a relevant field (engineering, finance, economics, etc.)
Proven analytical, quantitative, communication, and problem-solving skills
Interest in learning about the energy industry and the energy transition
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and balance various work demands
Strong team and interpersonal skills
Must have full working rights in Australia, no visa sponsorship available
